slapin Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Hi, all!Is there Android support in Torque3D and if not are there any plans for it? Quote
Duion Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 As far as I know, no.People are working on MacOS support and Linux works already pretty good, so I don't know how big the step to a mobile OS is. Quote
bsisko Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 I hear from other sources that Android is actually a modification of Linux. Still, if Android is supported that would be nice.Even though with all the negative publicity surrounding the AtariBox, since it will come with an Linux OS, (or did they say Android) it would be nice to see if T3D programs would be able to run on that machine. Duion Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 You can try to run it and fix eventual issues. Quote
JeffR Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Currently there are no plans. it'd be neat for sure, but ya, no active plans. A bit part of it is that android pretty much requires OpenGLES for the graphics API, which we do not support at all currently. So that would have to be implemented first before anything else could be done with it. Quote
