a leet practice with ScatterSky : skyBrightness ,ambientScale , sunScale ,fogScale , LevelInfo : clearCanvasColor , fog settings and a volumetric fog w/ settings and whatever the postFx are right at the moment . It took me sooo long to find out what the anogramette means THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET ! and as it would turn out , the meaning is so darn funny that it was actually almost worth the wait . It might be inappropriate , but , its my first chance to use it since I found out . 🖖

No idea what you are referring to, with Uebergame being with NPC and spawn stuff, it is just bots and they use this behavior tree thing, btw I planned a racing gamemode, it is disabled, well the gamemode scripts do not exist yet, but I made a racetrack map for it, but never got around making the script, but seems like the resource from the game development book is exactly what I would have needed.

Do you mean how my bots turn into players in the player score GUI? Yes that was important to have, I used a different class in code for those and some people wanted to delete that feature from Torque3D because they thought it was deprecated, but it is essential, maybe they did delete it now, even though I tried to stop them, I would have to look into it again to figure it out, but the feature was already in Torque3D, just needed a bit more work.

Btw sea level needs to be higher in that level, most of the sand layers need to be covered.

I was thinking more along the lines that the Bots were like Non-Player-Characters , as I imagine , that one might find in an RPG which could make use of all of the AI abilities and functionalities . I am just about to look into executing your scripts in 4.01 . and stuff like that ! that cheetah car is a wheeled vehicle I just executed the server file (either the cs or the tscript I made from it) I'd fixed the path to the shape to whatever it is now , the paths for the tires models hadn't been edited yet , and ive added some forest items with their nifty 'poles enhanced' imposters and raised the sea level lord as you have commanded Sir 😔 . I'll hit a pic when the cars are readied 👍 . have good day sir

Weird coincidence, i was just talking to a friend yesterday that im gonna bring back the racing island.

Also gonna reuse the other maps too once i get to it.

 

Looks pretty good there, bet its gonna be fun.

You could add spectators, bonus points for running them over(like bonus missions in gta2).

one of the models Code_Man had posted a link to . the tank1 . it has the hubs , collision shape , detail nodes , bounds and a wheel(w/ collision shape , detail nodes) is waiting in the blend file . only thing left is wheeledVehicleData , wheeledVehicleTire , wheeledvehicleSpring datablocks and server file stuff . thanks for the link Code_Man , I see you guys are pretty active over there and a bit of a buzz over the CnC stuff . KEWL STUFF !

If you take the ones from my halloween relese they have colvols and mounts and wheel positions predefined pretty good.

The datablocks are not all that useful, except for the ranger which has 3 springs and 3 tires that all work.

Its nice someone finally using those, im amazide nobody over at that at or otherwise took advantage of those so far.

I just painted my version of the racing island just earlier this moring, its very barebones but useful, i will try to make it interesting on my end.

Also if im not mistaken the halloween demo has a whole lot of vehicle models, but most are not rigged nor scaled and forgot about skins.

I changed to some of the 1k ones i got, they look messed up for some reason, others work fine, i suspect it might be something to do with the diffuse map scale and stuff.

Your terrain looks very sharp, i know its not so easy to get that kind of look going.

Well yeah but its not clear which one applies to which, in this case atleast.

Also very creative use of aircraft.

Still filing on my version of that map, noticed the ranger needs more tweaking too, its miserable in terrain.

Also noticed in 2x above picture the guys have no guns, theres a stg44 by duion out there, i have it in atcs.

You might also be interested in the rad alert demo there are some unsued assets, including a lee enfield rifle you might use.

Code_Man , sorry , it usually takes me a minute . I see what you are saying about the HMG's . there are 2 50 cals in the pic . the one closest in the pic is the CCO . the other one is barely noticeable under the forge guys elbow , its very nice too .

wheres a good place to pick up the red alert demo ?

sorry to say that the plane model isnt my idea it was a must have however since I spotted it at sketchFab .

Well if you could spare the effort sharing the cc0 one sometime, i could make great use of it.

The link to the demo is in this post, im updating the games page a bit, but i think il just wait for the infantry demo instead.

There are some hidden files(as in not assetized) in there so you might need to look closer and those are usually messy, but great stuff you could use.

Also https://itch.io/game-assets/new-and-popular/assets-cc0, is a pretty good place to get assets, just incase you missed that.

Whats the tank in the background, the image is so small its hard to make out in detail.

thank you for the itch io link I hadn't yet discovered them and I see they have a great range of goodies .

the tanks are a couple of models Im training myself on . I go back to them as my skillz improov . they are a Sherman "Easy Eight" and a T28 Super heavy tank . they are all rigged up and driveable but the firing is basically all AI Turret as I struggle with a more desirable turret operation stuff but , not right now , Ive sorta veered back into cleaning up the tanks for a nice new paintjo 😉 thanks for the links and I particularly like the enfield suggestion .     💗

Yes its the link alright.

The 50 cal looks so great, altho its confusing i think both guns are m2s.

Also your tanks look great too, i think i have some other leftover ww2 assets i can share with you when i dig em out.

Noticed i looked at sketchfab a while back, it has some interesing cc0 stuff, nothing all that particular need to have.

I found a city model at sketchfab . it was a gltf . i converted it to DAE using blender 2.83 lts . put a bounds around the whole thing , put 1 detail node , of course i put a detail number to each 203 objects and unparented them from some empties that they were parented to , of course , all 203 objects are combined into one object with 100 materials . 1.2 nillion vertices . In this level there are already couple instances of object with 26 4K images . adding this seemed to have no affect on the performance . Im there dude . one thing tho there are zero collisions in the city shape . and the cutting edge car shape 🌞👍

so the orange Bldg is fixed , the colors for the *Aptera Solar Electric Car* fixed . but that black just looked like a bad ride didn't it ? any way I thought some might enjoy seeing the enourmous big city shape . you might notice the orange castle on the right side , I had encountered the bewildering un-mapped conflict majic for a minute . Im gonna fix that .

My new charactaturisations , Made with Makehuman 1.1 , the suit was in one of the community asset packs (put into 1.1👍) . some features on that darkened crusty creature requested a little massage from my BLENDER 2.83 LTS . thx u

in the previous pic you may have noticed the sunlight and shadows . Though I think Ive made some modelling errors , I wish to block out any light that isnt located within this model . other consideration is that the underground ravine is attached to the above ground structure and share some vertices . I humbly seek , GREAT AND WISE ! ,more info concerning light accumulation and occlusion and necessary modelling pratices to ensure the proper and sweet lighting . thank you sooooo much and have a wannaful day all .

edit : less than 24 hrs later-

ok thats all just so wrong isnt it . accumulation and occlusion volumes are a bit different from what I had somehow imagined . Im going back to good ol zone and portal as I think thats how it was achieved once upon a time . Ill let you know !

this is just the sun elevation at 270 . I havent figured out whether I can block the light like in TGE the structure would be dark inside and youd need to add lights . any ? thx u 👍 🌞
