bsisko Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Has anyone tried to capture the screen output from a TGE 1.4 screen. If so, what program did you use? How would I go about doing it? Quote
Jason Campbell Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Hey bsisko, Sorry, been away. I believe that you just hit CTRL-P and it will print your screen. The default is .PNG but you can change it in the options. Quote
bsisko Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 I'm sorry I wasn't clear Jason. I meant take a video capture of the screen for YouTube production. I've been using programs such as ActivePresenter and vlc, but both programs only give me a black screen when I run the TGE program. I've also tried OBS streaming software, but I haven't gotten the hang of that yet? Quote
Jason Campbell Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Woops, sorry. I'm on Linux now, I use Simple Screen Recorder but it might be Linux only. If you have nVidia or AMD gpu, they have free ones that work well, as I recall. Quote
XIXWYRMEXIX Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 If you are on windows 10, the XBOX game bar can record games. I do not use TGE, but I know the XBOX app sees modern Torque 3d as a game and launches when I launch the editor. I have made recordings of Torque 3d with it. Quote
rlranft Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 FRAPS used to work, it's what we used to make a few of the demo videos back at GG. Quote
Duion Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 OBS is the best tool for that, most of those Streamers use it, so it cannot be that hard to learn, there are other good alternatives, but they cost money or they will make you look like an idiot by putting a stupid branding into your videos. Quote
bsisko Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Thanks for the suggestion all of you, I'll give it the best try! Quote
bsisko Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Mr. or Mrs. rlranft,Do NOT take this as a threat, but I love ya man. At last, after months of searching and scratching my head, I found, (well you fed me a link to software) that can capture a video screen. Quote
