any plans for fixing "use poles" for imposters ?

I am using 4.01 - The Binary , and use poles option in the shape editor results in trouble with the imposter image . it provides the requested y axis angles but i cant dial in the settings or something else is wrong  and the imposter render is completely bizarre <- thank you googol spell chekker ,  having that capability would be really nice . Might I suppose that imposters are just not so necessary and maybe very low poly small detail size models are a superior option , with maybe like detail size 4 imposter at dimensions  "4" , or something ?
