fLUnKnhaXYU Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 So , is this a problem ? unmounted , just raising the wheeled Vehicle by the gizmo . see the spring area open a little you can see the spring0 animation . while mounted see the wheel has extended but the animation of the suspension isn't visible . (vehicle eye) again the wheels are extended , the animation isn't visible (player eye) aaaaand THANX :) Quote
fLUnKnhaXYU Posted July 22 Author Posted July 22 ok , so , this has apparently been resolved . there were , perhaps , a couple problems with my vehicles rig . 1. the hub nodes needed to be parented to the first bone in the armature (the hubs have been put within the armature like the ones in the cheetah DAE , it seems to me that this parenting is necessary in order for the tires rotation animation to be played) . 2. that first bone needed to be named "bn_root" (mine was simply named "root" , as this is a torque 3D specific animation sequence this naming convention is probably necessary , as you WILL encounter when you dive into a animated player character ), other animated bones in the armature also require the "bn_" prefix (i think). oh yes , i did say apparently , as I had *also* possibly placed incorrect values for the frame number when setting up the animations in the shape editor . hey works for me , maybe someone will clarify this a bit for the inquiring gentle reader . and SO many thanks and do please have a wonderful day and thanky and do have a ol' good'n !
