jamesonj
I've been taking a look at the TorqueScript code and it's been difficult to understand the differences between the "in-game" code and the "editor" code. Is there a clear separation between them, or they are all the same? The editors work on multiplayer, for example? But, what i'm trying to do is quite simple because it's already done: i want the player to be able to modify the terrain and place meshes, just like someone using the world editor is. I'm doing a SimCity-esque game.
Johxz
Yes you can to both question. The editor I think right now don't work on multiplayer, but exist products like this https://www.garagegames.com/products/tcwdtAnd in-game terrain deformation don't know any resources, but I remember that a few they did. check the old forum.Try using this http://www.dreambuildrepeat.com/GGSearch/index.htmlother question related http://forums.torque3d.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=
LukasPJ
Might be a little late to the party, but that tool (tdwdt) is for TGE and TGEA (older engines). If you wont something similar, you'd need OneWorld from Winterleaf Entertainment.Editors only work on singleplayer, they don't broadcast updates and such. For singleplayer it should be very possible to just use the editor tools already present in the templates.
