That's awesome you're still working on your game after all these years. It looks really good in my opinion.

Your game probably runs on any hardware that anybody has these days. Too many games these days that are simple in graphics in nature require pretty moderate hardware. TGE base graphics capabilities are now aesthetically considered "retro" (and now I feel old), so there are many gamers who enjoy it visual wise.

Released update to Version 2.24 todayΒ πŸ˜€Β This map I really love with a lot of content from Steve (arteria3d) which was sleeping on our harddrives for a long time. I also never made 65 quests in a row we had always community friends which did the most quests. Maybe because I wasΒ  busy coding.Β  But since the server is rock stable on FreeBsd for years and the client also I found the passion to write quests . First I write it in german then use a translation from a known search engine, which does not work so well. The graphic does not look so retro in my opinion, especially in night where no shadows are missing.Β

Hi, Ohmtal. What online server are you using for your game?

I'm looking for an affordable online dedicated server to host my multiplayer game.

I was referred to this thread by Sempiternam:

@LoLJester sorry did just see the answer. Did not had notifications on - but now.

Not sure what your question is, but it's a "normal"Β  dedicated server by a german hoster called hetzner. The game machine runs on a virtual host where the ports are nat'ed by the main host. My game server OS is aΒ  32 bit FreeBSD since i didn't get TGE to compile on 64 bit - I tried it hard but my knowledge end at some point πŸ˜‰ - I got it compiled but ended up in a segfault nightmare...

All game servers are running in a "screen" , with a TCP admin port open , limited by a firewall. I've to restart every month. After about 50 days the engine get's mad - i raised the time a bit, at the beginning it was about 14 days, but never solved the problem.

Not sure if that helps ...

Hello bsisko,

yes, soon I'll launch the 64bit version of auteria πŸ˜„. Changes was done in Torque2D and Torque3D before, but was a big puzzle to put it in TGE πŸ˜‰. I tried this from time to time since years - most time ended up in segfault hell - but at 17th JanuaryΒ  I got it running on Windows, Linux and FreeBSD.
