Duion Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Many don't know the benefits of a real open source license like MIT compared to pseudo free software. On the pseudo free software you will always stay dependent on the company that made it and you have to follow certain restrictions or have to do payments based on your income later etc, while with the MIT license you can completely "own" the engine and do whatever you want as long as you keep the copyright note in it if you should redistribute the source code.
