Hi , Im back , sorry , I respect you and appreciate your time .

So , when I import a model which shares a material which is already in the folder it re-imports the material . no huge deal , just a wee bit messy and I just delete the unneeded material and image files and it seems to work fine . So , is there a way Im supposed to just bypass the second import and unnecessary image and material asset files ? hope this makes since Thank You .

this Icon that resembles a gear cog is the open editor settings button . it opens a list of various editor settings , one of which is asset management which has an option to uncheck an "import materials" check box . It seems to have solved my issue exactly . No unneeded material assets cluttering up the asset browser for me now .that sounded like a commercial , I hate commercials ! 🙂 hope you Have a nice day and thanks for your help .

So , I did have to add assets to the folder ( asset browser - add new asset - new art asset ) . but the folder is very nice with 12 imported dae and 7 materials . adding the mats was basically an easy button deal . those little houses are Street Environment from free3D . house 1 and 2 which use the same material . thank you .

maybe someone notices the thick white border . I get those with imposters that I create with 4.01 as well . ???
